Special days this month
-
The white days (Ayyam al-Bid)
13–15 Rabi al-Awwal
Monday, 16 September – Wednesday, 18 September
Fasting the 13th, 14th and 15th of every Hijri month is sunnah.
How the dates are set
In Bangladesh every Hijri month begins as the National Moon Sighting Committee announces. The committee meets at the Islamic Foundation on the evening of the 29th. After the announcement we set the month's first day here. Months not announced yet are calculated and marked "Estimated".
