وَلَقَدۡ أَتَوۡاْ عَلَى ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلَّتِيٓ أُمۡطِرَتۡ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوۡءِۚ أَفَلَمۡ يَكُونُواْ يَرَوۡنَهَاۚ بَلۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ نُشُورٗا
Rowwad Translation Center
They have surely passed by the town[1] that was destroyed by a terrible rain [of stones]. Have they not seen it? But they do not expect to be resurrected[2].

[1] i.e., the city of Sodom; the people of Prophet Lot.
[2] So they do not take lessons from the doom of the past nations.
